Earthpages.org – The real alternative

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Why do you use Creative Commons images? Our policy explains: 22 (b) All Public Domain and Creative Commons material remains unprotected by copyright and does not in any way fall under or pertain to Earthpages’ copyrights. » http://epages.wordpress.com/policy-and-disclaimer
  • Why do you use Creative Commons NonCommercial images? Although we occasionally permit links to authors’ web sites that, themselves, contain links to paid-for goods and services, Earthpages has no economic affiliation with these authors (or their goods and services) and, itself, generates no income whatsoever. Moreover, we only use Creative Commons NonCommercial images if the article stands alone–that is, if it provides enough meaningful informational content (without clicking on any of its links) to justify its use as “non-commercial.” Put differently, you can get something useful out of the article without even going to the author’s site (where something may be advertised).
