Does Faith Help or Hurt Mental Health?

The discoveries and achievements purely in the fields of psychology and psychiatry are not capable of offering a truly complete vision of the person. They are not capable of resolving on their own the fundamental questions concerning the meaning of life and the human vocation.

    • Everyone is different. Blind fanaticism might in some instances hinder psychological and physical health. However, my own life would be meaningless if I didn’t attend Mass when I feel called to. To run around like an animal craving only worldly reward to me is… well, living like an animal. However, we have to respect people where they’re at… always hoping to help others come to know or better know God when appropriate.

How about you? What’s your take?
