One of these nights, one of these crazy old nights ~ Eagles πŸŒ– πŸͺ

This is a song lyric from the American band, The Eagles. For me, this is one of the best 70s tunes in terms of summing up an entire decade of AM and FM radio. It’s 1975 and FM is about to morph into a Top 40 format from its previous album-oriented approach and AM is set to move into talk radio and goldie-oldie stations instead of being the source for happenin’ new tunes like it once was.

“One of These Nights” was released smack dab in the middle of the 70s, and I think its content and style reflects this. It’s not quite progressive rock and but more elaborate than the usual pop jingle (e.g. “Sugar Sugar” by the Archies).
