The Monochrome Experience: Never Go Out Of Style

I’m pressing this partly for the compelling photographs but also for the photographer’s thought-provoking commentary.

Fashion has always been something I’ve had an ambivalent relationship with. When in India I felt that the street vendors, in their torn, grimy clothes looked waaaay cooler than relatively weatlhy folks who spend a fortune for ‘prewashed’ jeans with a ripped knee and frayed bottoms.

There’s also the whole goonish side to it, which David Bowie alluded to in his song, “Fashion” from the Scary Monsters lp.

But still, I like to feel sharp sometimes.
